IDIOT!!!

Well what can we say. Thank god it is only the beginning of what will be a great season. I (paul) was at the freebasin (arapahoe basin) yesterday playin' around in the park working on my new steeze. Switch rail slides. They were coming along pretty well as long as I got on the box straight. Well needless to say I didn't get on perpendicular this time. I fell off the box and then down to the snow 3 feet below. My right shoulder took the full impact. I knew it was f'd right away. I skied down to the bottom and went to see patrol. The patroler said nothing was broken but I might want to see a doc for any other problems that may come up.

When I got home and took my shirt off with the help of Amy (a hardworking, aspiring, wannabe posse member) I realized that I had to go to the e.r. Amy took me and hung out with me while I was there. She's really swell! After x-rays the doc told me literally that I was f'd. I had ripped all three ligaments that hold the top of my shoulder together. The diagnosis is a "3rd degree AC separation of the right shoulder". So what you see above is what my shoulder looks like right now. I'm going in to see Dr. Sterett of the steadman-hawkins clinic tomorrow. I wanna know what he has to say about surgery.

Suppose to snow tonight!! That is what they make duct tape for isn't it?
